conference 2008
October 14-24, 2008

Purpose of the Conference

The purpose of the October '08 conference is to introduce many PCUSA churches to the possibilities of partnerships with the ECCB. Hopefully we will leave the conference with twelve new partnerships in formation between PCUSA congregations and the ECCB congregations and/or Diaconia.

The partnership of First Presbyterian of Annapolis (a PCUSA Member Church) and the Letohrad Parish of the ECCB (described on this site) is an example of a partnership.  New partnerships will evolve as the two partners, and the Spirit of God interact.

The conference will provide a thorough introduction; a partnership comes as a second step ... with the support of both denominations.  New partnerships will vary yet here are a few ideas to consider:  both partners identify what they can give and receive; the partnership is for a set period of time then requires evaluation for its continuation; shared prayer, worship and visits are components of the partnership.  And ... openness, flexibility, humor and sharing of the arts are encouraged!http://www.mac.com/WebObjects/Welcome.woa/wa/default?cty=US&aff=consumer&identifier=u4K5MMJOWbKSZduj&lang=enshapeimage_2_link_0
